Meet Dr. Cornelia Duffin!
Dr. Cornelia Duffin
I was born and raised in NJ as the middle child of 11 children.
Giving my all in sports and academics is something that’s always interested me. Even as a child I played multiple sports every season and was very excited by academics.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, where I Varsity Lettered for their Division I field hockey program. During this time I was also an undergraduate T.A. in Physics. At Rutgers, my college advisor suggested dentistry. I was immediately hooked and was so excited to pursue dentistry.
I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where I also met my now husband, Dr. Brandon Johnson. Wanting to expand my scope of practice, I completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Fort Jackson, S.C.
As a Captain in the United States Army, I practiced dentistry as a brigade dentist out of Ft Hood, TX. My responsibility as the sole dentist for approximately 2500 fellow soldiers included a 6-month rotation in Korea. I was humbled to receive numerous awards and coins while in the service for my attention to detail and care on the spot.
I’m a mother to my two beautiful children and enjoy family time. I love watching my kids grow and hope that people bring their whole families to our office. I want to break down barriers to people getting care – for people to feel comfortable expressing their concerns. I desire to make going to the dentist something you feel more comfortable with, give you a smile you feel more confident about, and maybe even make going to see us something you look forward to!
